KEY INGREDIENTS
Sodium Hyaluronate (L) (Hyaluronic Acid): Sodium Hyaluronate (L) (Hyaluronic Acid), chirally correct, is a naturally
occurring glycosaminoglycan found throughout the body’s connective tissue. It has been proven to moisturize the
skin by attracting moisture in skin cells which reduces dryness and flaking by increasing skin hydration. It can also
provide structure and volume to the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leaving the skin plump.
Sodium Hyaluronate can also reduce skin inflammation, playing a vital role in would healing processes by promoting
cell migration and proliferation. It is excellent for treating skin irritation like eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis
stemming from a compromised barrier.
Mirabilis Jalapa Extract (Four O’ Clock Flower): Mirabilis Jalapa Extract (Four O’ Clock Flower) is known for its anti
inflammatory properties and is used in skincare products to calm reactive skin, reducing discomfort (like sensations
of pain, itching and stinging) and visible redness. It also improves skin’s long-term resilience against sensitivity
triggers and protects from free radical damage and environmental stressors. Mirabilis Jalapa Extract supports skin’s
barrier function by deeply penetrating and improving hydration levels. This extract is deeply nourishing, can be used
to treat wounds and cuts, and helps to rebuild the health of the skin.
Schrophularia Nodosa (Figwort) Extract: Schrophularia Nodosa (Figwort) Extract contains active compounds such
as amino acids, flavonoids, saponins, phytosterols, fatty acids, cardiac glycoside, and asparagine. Many of these
substances have been known to have a variety of health benefits including antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti
inflammatory actions. Figwort can be applied topically to help treat a range of inflammatory skin conditions, soothe
skin rashes and minor lesions or wounds. It is commonly used to treat skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and
acne and used to alleviate swelling, itching and heal burns.
Betula Alba Bark (Birch) Extract: Betula Alba Bark (Birch) Extract functions as an astringent since the bark contains
a high concentration of tannins. They work by cross-linking with proteins in the skin known as keratins, creating an
invisible film that can temporarily degrease skin, tighten, and tone skin, and minimize the appearance of enlarged
pores. The tannins in Betula Alba Bark Extract function as antioxidants, using their hydroxyl groups to catch free
radicals and stabilize them in the phenolic ring. Birch bark also contains immune stimulation constituents to reduce
inflammation, and improves skin response to stressors, while increasing hydration and reducing transepidermal
water loss.
